Bill Pepper MRCVS CertCHP
Bill is a second generation vet who qualified from Bristol Vet School in 1979
and worked in Tiverton and Southampton prior to returning to his roots in
Lewes. He was involved with the establishment of Cliffe Veterinary Group in
1990 as one of the original partners. His main veterinary interests are farm
animal work and he is a holder of the Royal College Certificate in Cattle
Health and Production. Other interests include exploring the NW Highlands
and stalking deer (with binoculars/camera only!)
Mike Symons MRCVS

Nanja Verkuijl DVM, MRCVS
Nanja graduated in 2001 from Ghent university and came over to the UK straight after. Having worked in different practices, she has really found that her passion in the veterinary world lies with farm animals. For the last 5 years she has worked as a farm vet only. She has a keen interest in preventative medicine and health problem investigations on herd level and sheep flock health.
In her spare time you can find her in the garden or hiking and camping anywhere in the UK and Europe.

Alex Civello BVSc BSc (Hons) MRCVS
Alex studied veterinary science at Bristol University, graduating in July 2011. He
grew up in Hove, and, is happy to be able to live back in the south-east once
again, after moving back to start his work at Cliffe. As a student, Alex saw
practice with us for 3 years, and is now working alongside the team that helped
him become the vet he is today. Alex’s interests lie in both small and farm animal
practice. In his spare time he plays football and tennis, enjoys cycling and golf,
and has a passion for cooking.

Claire Sweeney MRCVS
Claire gratuated in 2011 from the Royal 'Dick' School of Veterinary Studies,
Edinburgh, being a local girl with family based in Rotherfield she has returned
to East Sussex to join the team at Cliffe Veterinary Group. Claire has a keen
interest in all farm animal work. When not working Claire enjoys sheep
shearing, hillwalking and cycling.
Miriam Hedley MRCVS
Miriam graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2011, and has
interests in all aspects of farm and small animal practice. She grew up on Tyneside
and is a big follower of Newcastle United! Her hobbies outside of work include
playing football, walking and mountain biking, with any spare time she has she will
be found exploring the South Downs by bike.
