Practice manager
Karen Walker
Karen joined Cliffe Veterinary Group in 2004, having worked in various administrative roles.
She is mainly based at our Lewes surgery but can often be seen at either our Equine Clinic or
one of our branch surgeries at Ringmer or Woodingdean dealing with the problems which arise
in a busy veterinary practice. Her role of Practice Manager is very varied from administrative
duties or personnel issues to sorting IT problems or dog sitting the Vets dogs!
Away from the Practice she enjoys nothing better than a walk in the countryside with her dog Daisy.
Farm Secretary
Jo Spencer
In 1997 Jo joined the Practice as our Farm Secretary, and has become the first point of contact
for our local farming community. Her day involves arranging farm visits for our team of four
Farm Veterinary Surgeons as well as working out the rota system for our Small Animal Department. She also has the unenviable task of dealing with Government Representatives with regard to legislation and TB testing. The majority of her time is spent with our local Farmers which she knows on first name terms.
Accounts & Office Administration
Anji Heal
Anji started work at CVG back in 1995 when the Practice was much smaller and has seen it
grow from the Surgery in Lewes to the Practice it is today with two additional branch surgeries
& a large equine clinic. It is a Practice joke that she has worked in almost every room in the
Lewes surgery as the admin office has been moved many times to accommodate other
departments. It is very rare for you to see Anji without one of her many collies which she
trains for agility.
Lesley Ingram
After having worked for two other veterinary practices locally she decided a change of career
was needed and started working for the Fire Service where she soon realised she missed the veterinary profession so when we advertised in 2008 for an additional admin. assistant she
applied immediately. Recently she has taken on the role of Human Resources Administrator.
Lesley is another member of staff with a horse and 5 cats.
