Katie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Hartpury University in 2017 and has since gained a wealth of experience working within large teaching and referral hospitals. Her nursing background includes MRI and CT imaging, surgical nursing, intensive care and emergency out-of-hours work.
Katie particularly enjoys the fast-paced nature of emergency and ambulatory work and loves the variety that comes with veterinary nursing. One of the most rewarding parts of her role is supporting and mentoring student veterinary nurses, helping them to build confidence and develop their clinical skills.
Alongside being a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Katie is a qualified AMTRA Equine SQP and Clinical Coach. She is also currently working towards her Equine Sports Massage qualification, combining her passion for veterinary nursing with her love of horses.
Outside of work, Katie loves spending time with her partner and their son, alongside their two dogs, Roxy and Daisy, and horses, Tye and Fox. With a busy family life and plenty of animals to keep her occupied, there is rarely a dull moment!
