Donate a cheerbox or bag for the vulnerable and homeless
The festive period is a challenging time for a lot of people, but more so for the vulnerable and homeless. Let's make a difference together and spread some Christmas cheer!
This year we are teaming up with a local charity, Feedbourners, to bring some festive cheer to those without a roof over their heads or in temporary accommodation.
Feedbourners are a self-funded group of like-minded volunteers who have come together to provide home cooked hot meals, snacks, cakes, cold drinks and toiletries to some of Eastbourne homeless or those in need.
They can be found every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm, outside Tall Guy coffee near Eastbourne strain station.
We are collecting Christmas “shoe” boxes or gift bags of both treats and practical items to make life a little more joyous for our homeless friends. These are not only women and men of all ages, but also children in temporary housing.
This is where we can help: using the lists provided, you can fill festively wrapped boxes or gift bags with the suggested small gifts and deliver them to our Laughton equine hospital no later than Thursday 21st December. We will then ensure that each one of your thoughtful contributions reaches the charity hub in time for them to bring a little comfort and cheer to those who often need it.
How can you contribute?
- Put together a shoebox/giftbox or bag
- Pick gender and age range from attached/below docs
- Indicate the age/ gender on front of box or bag
- Do not individually wrap anything
- No alcohol or aerosols
- Do not seal the box
- Decorate the box/bag to make it beautifully festive
- Make with love and be creative
Where do you drop off the donations?
Opening hours: 8.30am-5.30pm (Mon-Fri)
Thank you for your kind generosity
