We deliver a complete equine veterinary service 24 hours a day, every day. We have a vet and a nurse on call round the clock to ensure your horse receives the best care we can give.
Our emergency service is not only accessible for both first opinion cases from our own clients, but we also accept referrals from other veterinary practices in the area. Emergency referrals will be arranged by your primary veterinary surgeon - this smooth handover ensures we provide you with continuous care without repetition or unnecessary expenditure.
If you need an emergency visit at any time, night or day, we will get to you as soon as we can. On occasion, the on call vet may already be tending to one emergency patient when your horse needs attention. If this is the case we will talk to you to ascertain what the problem is, and how urgently you need a visit. We will also give you advice on what to do until we arrive.
Sometimes you might be unsure whether your horse requires a visit, or you may just need some advice to tide you through the weekend. That's ok too. We're more than happy to give you advice if you're worried about something. We'd much rather give a little advice and reassurance, than miss a potential problem.
A FEW REMINDERS
Where horse's are concerned, it's always best to be prepared. Make sure if you're going to check your horse, you have a your phone with you, and it's charged up! Once you've contacted us for an emergency call, please make sure you've given the correct number, you are in signal and please keep the line free.
Finally, if you are a new client, or do not currently have a monthly invoice account agreed with us; please have some means of payment with you. Our priority is ensuring your horse is treated appropriately; however, please be aware that we require payment at the time of our visit, as described in our terms and conditions.
